The Springfield Catholic Cheer Squad is a visible reminder of the pride and tradition that encompass our Irish athletics. It is our primary goal to help spark and maintain a high level of excitement in our fans and ultimately show our support to the other athletes. We aspire to be leaders both on the court and field, in the classroom, and throughout the community.
Members of the squad are dedicated student athletes. We spend anywhere from 6-9 hours a week in practices and weight room workouts during the fall and spring semesters in preparation for games. Of course this is in addition to our football and basketball cheering schedule! One other great experience we share is the common goal of a community service project.
The Cheer squad looks for teammates who truly enjoy the sport of cheerleading and everything that means at Springfield Catholic High School.
-Cheering for State Championship teams
-Attending football and basketball games at home and across Missouri
-Forming lasting friendships with squad members
-Advancing cheer skills through stunt workshops, summer camp, etc... which enable squad members to cheer at the next level if they so desire
-Developing character and moral standards to help you both in our performance arena as well as the arena of life.
