Rader ends career atop MSHAA Record Books
SPRINGFIELD, MO – Anna Rader capped off a stellar tennis career this fall for Springfield Catholic. The SCHS senior ended her career as the winningest girls tennis player in school history. However, her accolades reached further than the SCHS campus. Anna's 38-2 record her senior year placed her atop the MSHSAA record books for victories in a single season, 3 wins ahead of the next athlete. Her 2017 record also placed her 6th in single season winning percentage.
During the 2017 season, Anna won 33 consecutive matches; placing her 3rd all-time in consecutive wins. Lastly, her 132 total career wins earned her 2nd in MSHSAA tennis history.

"My coach told me about the MSHSAA tennis records a little while into my senior season. After looking up my stats from the previous seasons, I realized that I might have a chance in beating some of the records. I didn't know that I had the most single-season wins, though, until after state my senior year." said Rader.

"Next year I plan to attend Kansas State University, where I will study Architecture. I will not play on the varsity team at K-State, but I do hope to play club tennis in my free time."
