SPRINGFIELD, MO--For the third year in a row, the Lady Irish tennis team has earned a spot in the final four for the Class 1 tennis state championship.
On Friday, October 12, they Lady Irish first faced a very formidable Logan-Rogersville team. The girls won all three doubles which put them up 3-0. Senior Casey Lee and freshman Elizabeth Tynes clinched it for the Lady Irish to win 5-0.
After Logan-Rogersville, the Irish faced Warrensburg. Again, they won all three doubles. Fittingly, seniors Casey Lee and Ashley Andrews clinched it for the ladies by winning their singles matches to win 5-0 as a team.
The team will compete on Thursday, October 18 at 9 am at Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield, Missouri. They will face Visitation Academy in the first round. Friday and Saturday, Erin Jarvis will compete in singles and Ashley Andrews and Claire Griesemer will compete in doubles.
